Summoned from Hell by the Nazis but raised as a good guy by the Allies, gruff, tough, fire engine red and quite literally horny, Hellboy emerges from the pages of Mike Mignola’s cult comicbook to set the screen alight in a blaze of demonic glory. Raised by kindly occultist Professor Bruttenholm (John Hurt), Hellboy (Ron Perlman) busts ghosts, demons and no end of supernatural beasties for the strictly hush-hush Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defence. Together with twisted firestarter Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and alien fish-boy Abe Sapien (anonymously voiced by Frasier’s David Hyde Pierce), Hellboy struggles to save the earth from immortal sorcerer Rasputin, an evil man with a wicked plan, a clockwork Nazi henchman and unlimited access to the hordes of Hell.
